Worldwide Public Sector Business Desk under Amazon Web Services is currently looking for a Business Desk Manager to support the Public Sector sales, operations, capture/proposal, partner, legal, and finance teams. The ideal candidate has a background in deal financial construction, business operations, sales and a background that enables them to model terms that reflect the best interests of the business and the customer. The candidate will have the Financial depth and business experience to easily communicate the economic benefits of cloud computing to IT C-Level executives. The candidate will be comfortable writing, researching and presenting ideas to executives and large crowds. This candidate should demonstrate the ability to devise new programs, pricing strategies and think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. As a leader within the Public Deals Desk team, you will identify entry barriers to adoption of AWS with these customers and develop repeatable strategies and models to overcome these barriers. The candidate should also have some technical depth to help them reason about the technologies and services involved in a coherent way. The ability to be influential, and work cross-organizationally is important, and the successful candidate will have a keen sense of ownership and drive results. The individual will have executive presence and the ability to present the complex in a clear and concise manner to senior management. Experience in Datacenter and Cloud Infrastructure services is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Working directly with customers, sale teams, sales leaders, services/support teams, and AWS leadership teams – provide leadership, identify customer blockers/enablers, and close issues.
· Bring the various stakeholders including but not limited to Sales, Contracts, Finance, Legal, Security and Compliance to close custom deals.
· Assist with complex contract negotiations and manage the approval process, including liaising with involved internal groups such as Legal, Finance, Services, etc.
· Design Tableau BI analytics for Business Desk and senior management for quarterly business reviews and reporting.
· Able to train and work closely with sales teams to make sure everyone is aware of the process and constructs, and to quickly execute on deals that are in the pipeline.
· Optimize existing processes and develop new scalable/repeatable process.
· Able to negotiate public sector deals from a business desk perspective (legal, contract, business, etc.)
· Understand the business and technical requirements of our customers and partners, and work closely with the internal teams to fashion appropriate deal terms.
· Building new/improving existing data reporting and processes. Report on monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline metrics and business forecasts inclusive of Run Rate, Opportunity and Contractual elements.
· Providing business or pricing analysis to prioritize and lead deal construct efforts.
· Support Public Sector Partner teams with custom pricing.
· Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad hoc analyses.
· Analyzing trends, formulating projections, creating financial models, and evaluating alternatives.
· Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends.
· Ability to quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers.
· Demonstrated work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
· Data analysis and financial modeling skills.
· Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills.

Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in Operations, Finance, or Economics.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in business analysis.
• 8+ years of experience leading and developing teams
• Prior work experience in technology industry.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA in Finance or Operations.
• Knowledge and experience in Cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge and work experience with Public Sector Partners.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, and Microsoft Access.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
