Summary: Located in Retail Banking Operations at the Corporate Office, this position is primarily responsible for exceptional customer service via phone.

Ensure that customers are serviced promptly. Utilize knowledge and experience in exercising discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems and answering questions.

Operates the telephone switchboard console, receiving and transferring incoming call. Will be responsible for the reception area and for its general appearance. Position requires courtesy and tact in dealing with people. Handles a variety of clerical tasks that can be performed around the console.

Job Requirements:

• The individual must have basic customer service skills that include proven phone etiquette
• Basic knowledge of the online computer system.
• Minimum of six months of job-related experience to be familiar with telephone extensions.
• Intermediate computer skills needed in Word and Excel.

Specific Job Functions:

The job will also entail but not be limited to assisting customers via phone concerning all issues and applications pertaining to their accounts and banking relationships. Extensive knowledge concerning various aspects of our products and services will be used regularly. Frequent communication with management concerning recurring and problematic issues or ideas for improvement is expected. General clerical duties are a necessary component of the position.

• Business Internet Banking Solutions.
• Visa Card Issues, including Foreign Authorization, and Disputes.
• ACH / Check Stop Payments.
• Check Orders.
• Phone Banking.
• Customer Account Maintenance.
• Wire Transfers.
• Answers switchboard, taking and relaying messages to proper departments and employees.
• May answer general questions relating to institution services.
• Greets customers, board members, and job applicants.
