Job description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Field Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating and performing training in all Safety and Health areas; managing safety data sheets; writing Safety and Health programs for approval by upper levels; conducting walk-through inspections; participating in accident investigation and/or emergency response; understanding recordkeeping, life safety, reporting and tracking close call incidents, Divisional safety communications, and other applicable regulations and standards. The Field Safety Manager is a field position and will require field visitation no less than four to five days per work week.

MINUMIM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS
The skills required of a Field Safety Manager include the ability to recognize known and predictable hazards associated with the type of work performed. The ability to implement new work processes to eliminate or reduce hazards. This person must possess good leadership and communication skills along with the ability to manage multiple projects. A good knowledge of construction terminology and basic knowledge of industrial hygiene, engineering principles and regulatory compliance law is necessary. This person should possess basic computer skills and be well organized. The Field Safety Manager must have s trong training and interpersonal skills and the ability to exhibit positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility. The Field Safety Manager must have a current Driver’s license with a good driving history.
