Job description
Our client, a global manufacturing leader is searching for an Automation/ Controls Engineer to develop and implement advanced process control/ system strategies with significant focus on the equipment reliability programs (preventive and predictive maintenance). Requires proficiency in leading RCAs and FMEAs. Offers excellent salary, bonus, benefits, and relocation options.
Qualifications:
- BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience in process control, automation, and electrical engineering in a manufacturing plant.
- Experience with equipment installation, preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
- Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills related to PLCs, DCS, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to work now or in the future without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, support, and implement advanced process control strategies to provide operational improvements, reliability, and integrity.
- Monitor and analyze repetitive maintenance problems. Determine the RCA for equipment failures, initiate equipment or procedural changes to correct.
- Develop and optimize the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plans.
- Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMECA (Failure Mode & Effect Criticality Analysis).
- Resolve the system problems related to the DCS and other automated production equipment.
- Responsible for electrical and instrumentation components, review specifications and recommend replacement for obsolete parts, following change control.
- Develop plans to improve efficiencies, process times, reduce labor, material costs, reduce maintenance costs and controlling budgets.
- Implement changes to SAP Plant Maintenance System.
