Job description

BAE Systems has a job opening for an Engineering Tools Technical Support Analyst. As a key member of the Engineering Tools team, the support analyst is responsible for the day to day support of the Software Engineering application environments across BAE Systems. The vast majority of tools are commercial (COTS) or open source. General support activities include developing and executing installation procedures, application testing, troubleshooting, responding to service desk break/fix tickets and service requests, how-to questions and documenting changes to the production environment in accordance to internal and DFARS policies and procedures.

The candidate should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, strong leadership skills, self-motivated and work well in teams. Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and learn new technologies quickly are some of the qualities a successful candidate will have. You will also need to be willing to respond to occasional off-hours outages and take part in subsequent service restoration efforts.

Required skills include a strong knowledge and working experience of Software Engineering Tool environments. Examples include Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), Subversion, Gitlab, Collaborator, Coverity. Duties include the following:

Strong knowledge and working experience of Software Engineering Tool environments.

Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), Subversion, Gitlab, Collaborator, Coverity.


Design, operation and support of Software Engineering Tools.

Administration and operational support of multiple Software Engineering application environments across BAE Systems.

Assist in planning, and upgrading of applications using Windows and Linux servers and client environments.

Ability to multi-task and reprioritize work, as required, to meet dynamic customer service environment.

Excellent Customer service skills at all levels.

Ability to work well in a team environment, in either a lead or participant role.

General understanding of Engineering disciplines and tools.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
