Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom is the community hospital serving the Sierra foothills communities of Folsom El Dorado Hills Granite Bay Cameron Park Shingle Springs and Rescue. ResponsibilitiesAs our Med/Surg Manager at Mercy Hospital of Folsom now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health you’ll oversee a department of frontline nurses and act as the conduit between these caregivers and leadership teams. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the nursing staff as we constantly seek to improve patient experiences reach out to our community and deliver quality care. At the same time you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues requests or new ideas from them to leadership.

Utilizing your excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups you will tackle tough conversations and above all be an educator at heart. At the same time, you will model the expected behaviors and mentor excellence while advocating for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.
The Surgical Acute Unit at Mercy Hospital of Folsom serves a variety of patients. A majority of the admissions to this department are from our PACU via Surgical Operations and Procedures. As well as some that come through the Emergency Department are sent to our 21 BED unit . We have a mixture of Post Surgical Med-Surg and Telemetry patients. We highly value approaching patient care with strong teamwork within our unit and within our hospital. Additionally, we pride ourselves on our continual efforts to make improvements to our work in order to produce the best patient outcomes. We are always looking for ways to keep our patients safe and free of hospital acquired conditions. Our team is made up of dedicated professionals and we are looking for individuals that share a passion for patient care.
