Job description
We’re hiring a grill cook at Baby Blues Luncheonette.
Baby Blues is a greek inspired diner focused on great food you can eat every day. We are looking to expand our small and dedicated team as our restaurant grows.
Baby Blues is open 7 days a week.
9-2:30 M-F & 9-3:30 Saturday and Sunday.
This position would be a 4 day, 40 hour week.
We are in need someone available to work 4
days a week. Must be willing to work weekends.
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of experience working on the line of a high-volume restaurant
- Understand setup and breakdown of stations
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Correct product storage, including labeling and dating procedures
- Run station through service, executing ingredients and components to high standards
- Ability to follow a recipe
- Good knife skills (responsible for maintaining properly sharpened knives and tools)
- Able to follow and uphold cleanliness of the kitchen in line with NYC DOH standards
- Maintains a clean work area free of clutter and organized.
- Stocks fridges for next day properly after every shift (Tops of fridges are stocked and back ups are below)
- Food handlers preferred.
