Job description
We are currently hiring for a remote civil CAD designer, supporting a large engineering firm based out of CT!
Candidates must reside in a state that is within the Northeast region. Qualifications: - 5 - 8 years of experience as a Civil Designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
- Experience creating 2D and 3D models
- Experience with civil / site / survey drafting projects
- An Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or completion of technical trade school in CAD
Description: - Generate precise 2D and 3D CAD models based on project requirements
- Collaborate with designers and field crews to develop construction base mapping
- Ensure that mapping adheres to relevant industry standards and regulations
- Develop record drawings using compiled field and office data
- Review mapping drawings to ensure adherence to established CAD standards
- Create comprehensive and accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Conduct thorough quality checks on CAD models and drawings to identify and rectify errors
- Verify that maps align with project goals and specifications
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to align production with project timelines
- Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate seamless integration of CAD work into overall project plans
Work Environment: Remote position - Office in New York if needed / Once a month requirement to be in CT
Survey related CAD work for Civil and Site Civil Projects as well as roadways
