What you will do!

The purpose of this position is to procure IT assets from point of request from the customer to the creation of purchase requisition. This includes requesting payments for IT services, processing IT hardware and software acquisition requests received by the IT Asset Management team. Purchasing is accomplished through purchase order, state issued credit card, and through direct pay invoices. Credit card holders are responsible for a monthly reconciliation of a large credit card statement, reflecting the monthly charges/credits.

Area of responsibility overview: All requests for procurement of technology come through this unit for processing. Responsibility is to analyze all procurement requests for technology against designated standards; research and identify appropriate levels or versions of hardware and software per customer’s stated business need; research methods to procure, including best pricing; and preparing purchase requisitions. Responsibility to ensure asset management and procurement policies and processes are met. Work with vendors to resolve procurement issues.

Responsibility is to ensure all OIS financial transactions being processed by this position are in line with DAS OAR, ORS and retention period timelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Two years of clerical-support experience in a related fields such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

Associates degree or higher will substitute for the experience.

A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.


Working Conditions

This position involves frequent contact with executives, management, and staff both internal and external to the organization. It requires working with a variety of people and situations, which requires the incumbent to exercise diplomacy. Confidentiality of information must be maintained at all times. Occasional travel to meetings is required with minimal travel to trainings. There can be frequent interruptions, demanding timeframes, and non-traditional working hours. The location of this position is in an office, cubicle and/or an agreed upon remote work environment with significant use of a computer and video conferencing.
