Role: Operations Manager (FTE)
Location:Dayton, OH (Onsite)
Position Summary:
As a key member of the Client's Aerospace & Defense Team, the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all day-to-day operations (i.e., finances, human resources, etc.) are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way. You will be responsible for identifying and improving any ineffective operational processes and/or procedures to improve efficiency,effectiveness, and productivity. Responsibilities
Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency
Help the organization's processes remain legally compliant
Formulate implementation plans for improved business processes
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
Manage budgets and forecasts
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
Recruit, train, and supervise staff
Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
Support the needs of managers as well as leadership
Requirements
Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
5+ years in Operations Management or 6+ in Project or Program Management
Experience budgeting and forecasting
Familiarity with business and financial principles
Excellent communication skills
Leadership ability
Outstanding organizational skills
Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
