Job description

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician - Anesthesiologist specializing in Cardiac Anesthesiology to join our esteemed medical team. As an Anesthesiologist with a focus on cardiac procedures, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthesia during cardiac surgeries and procedures. The ideal candidate will be either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology. Possession of an active Iowa medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is required. CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) is mandatory. Completion of a Cardiac Fellowship is preferred, although extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia will be considered, particularly if TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) certified. TEE certification is crucial, with proficiency in reading, interpreting, and billing TEE procedures emphasized. BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required. Additionally, COVID vaccination is mandatory to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

Requirements:

1. Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiac Anesthesiology:

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology.

2. Active Iowa License or IMLC Eligibility:

• Possession of an active Iowa medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

3. CSR (Controlled Substance Registration):

• CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) is required.

4. Completion of Cardiac Fellowship (Preferred) or Extensive Experience:

• Completion of a Cardiac Fellowship is preferred. Extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia will be considered, particularly if TEE certified.

5. TEE Certification:

• Must be TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) certified, with the ability to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures.

6. BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required.

7. COVID Vaccination:

• COVID vaccination is mandatory for all staff members to ensure patient and staff safety.
