QA Automation Engineer Location Hybrid remote in Texas : Job Summary: FacilityForce is looking to add a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to our team. You will work as part of a team responsible for the testing and verification of a complex FRP application and supporting products. In the role you will maintain and execute software test plans, automated test scripts, and verification procedures based upon changes to the FRP application and supporting products. FacilityForce provides Facilities Resource Planning (FRP) for city, state, county, and commercial customers throughout North America. : What you will do: - Maintain test plans and automated scripts to ensure they stay up-to-date with the functionality of the FRP application based on recent code changes and specifications provided by Product Management.
- Monitor and maintain the continuous integration of automated test scripts and report daily execution results to QA Lead.
- Incorporate new automated scripts that are developed by the QA team into the continuous integration cycle.
- Maintain effective communication within the agile teams and with QA lead on any issues arising from automated script maintenance or continuous integration results.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management or team lead.
Required Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience with testing a web application through manual and automated techniques.
- 3+ years of experience with a commercial relational database (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
- Expertise with Java, Selenium and TestNG testing tools
- Familiar with source control systems and processes (Git, branching, merges, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting bugs and performance bottlenecks in a production environment
- Team player attitude with a high level of initiative and motivation to complete tasks and increase knowledge
- Ability to interact positively and effectively in a distributed team environment
Additional Qualifications (nice to have, but not required): - Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban)
- Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Mobile/iOS app exposure
- Knowledge of Docker
