Job description
The Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) invites applications for a faculty position in any area of physics that overlaps with and augments the department's strengths in astrophysics/cosmology, biophysics, condensed matter physics, nuclear and particle physics. This is a tenure-track position, in which the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Department's research program and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. An appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with a start date of September 1, 2021 is expected, although for exceptionally qualified candidates an appointment at a higher rank could be considered.
