The Work You Will Do:

The Administrative Assistant II Position (37020395) is pending a reclassification to a Government Operations Consultant I. This position works in the Division Office within the Division Of Water Restoration Assistance and acts as the Division’s Liaison for Human Resources, Training, and performs other administrative duties.

The incumbent provides support for all the Programs within the Division of Water Restoration Assistance, which is responsible for providing financial assistance for projects that improve water quality of the water resources of the state.

Pay:

Pay for this position will be $38,175.54 annually (commensurate with experience).



Your Specific Responsibilities:

Coordinates and consults with management regarding organizational and personnel management matters and recommends actions to address needs, concerns and/or issues based on established personnel rules, agency directives and policies and procedures. Assists management with developing operations and procedures for the Division in operating more efficiently and effectively. Prepares and/or compiles personnel documentation, proofreads work and makes editorial corrections to grammar prior to management approval utilizing Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Consults with program managers regarding concerns, and assists as necessary, to ensure best management practices are followed.



Prepares pre-hire packages, promotion packages and onboarding documents for division. Provides notification of approved personnel actions to supervisors and assists with People First requirements to ensure accurate and timely input as established by agency. Assists staff with training information from the Training Office and is the Training Liaison for the Division. Acts as the Liaison for Information Technology and Safety. Assist the Division Communication Liaison and Budget Coordinator.



Assists with purchasing, receiving and invoicing of commodities and services for the programs' cost centers utilizing My Florida Market Place (MFMP) and State Purchasing Card in accordance with DEP's purchasing procedures.



Assists with the coordination of Property for the Division.
