About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Control Systems Lead to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our cutting-edge products. You will play a key role in overseeing embedded systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with various teams to define and implement effective control strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance and troubleshooting of various embedded systems.
- Leverage expertise to resolve complex technical issues effectively.
- Translate systems knowledge into client-facing solutions and support materials.
- Utilize debugging and simulation tools for efficient design iteration and optimization.
- Define and implement functional safety requirements.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead team building efforts to foster a robust and successful team.
- Collaborate with team members and management to estimate resources and timelines.
- Oversee the release of new and existing control logic.
- Ensure accurate and timely logic release based on client and vehicle specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience designing embedded applications.
- Proven experience in automotive controls/mechatronics (heavy automotive preferred).
- Expertise in defining embedded system requirements for performance and reliability.
- In-depth knowledge of MATLAB and SIMULINK software packages.
- 3+ years of experience with CAN/LIN/J1939/J1708 communication networks.
- Familiarity with CANalyzer and Vehicle Spy tools for analyzing CAN signals (preferred).
- Experience with emissions compliance standards (CARB/EPA/International) a plus.
