Rate of Pay: $151,600/year to $166,760/year

Duties: Maintain a Summary Master Schedule for the site with monthly reports to site and services management, and externally for the customer as needed. Develop and maintain a Master Production Schedule of the site, incorporating all projects. Develop individual project schedules with required granularity using the Critical Path Method, and establish interfaces with all internal and external contributors. Determine and analyze critical path activities for identification of schedule risk and potential delay impacts. Represent the project scheduling function to the customer in compliance with contractual requirements. Proactively identify and highlight any significant drift to Project Management and Site Management. Conduct monthly reviews of all work-packages with Site Manager and Finance Controller to determine cost and schedule impacts from tasks performed by each function on the project. Validate the accuracy of schedule information provided, and investigate as required. Perform robust Time Impact Analysis to negotiate time extension for contractual changes. Manage other schedulers and develop a schedule-driven work culture. Develop cost recovery proposals for delays coming from customer or suppliers and support negotiations on those claims. Evaluate and analyze risk magnitude during Tender Negotiation Phase aspects. Support the Bid Manager during Negotiation Phase. For project phase, collect, update, and consolidate physical progress follow-up for projects. Propose and coordinate corrective actions to reduce risk of delay, maintain floats, and improve time control. Write periodic progress reports in accordance with the Project Time Management Plan. Provide expertise and support to project Sub System Managers and Work Package Owners. Provide regular project schedule updates to customer as contractually required.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires experience in the following:

1. Scheduling of engineering development activity in the rail industry;

2. Defining robust, measurable milestones that accurately measure project progress through design, development, validation, serial production and customer acceptance on rail industry rolling stock projects;

3. Cost and schedule links on rail industry contracts;

4. Mechanical, industrial, or related engineering background to understand complexity of engineering tasks; and

5. Engineering workload and resources management, including performance reporting and planning.

20% domestic travel is required.
