The Opportunity

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Planner Production position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. T he Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the materials/products for daily production schedules are available within in-house inventory. This may include ensuring accurate allocations of product, reconciling daily production orders, customer service, reporting, routing of truck services and active communications. This role requires one with the ability to be results orientated, excellence driven and applies a sense of urgency to achieve business objectives. About DTTP

Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

May include:

• Prepare monthly and weekly production plan by model for assigned product class.
• Prepare weekly and monthly SKU production plans
• Maintain inventory levels at the distribution warehouse based on established lead times while managing within approved budget.
• Review and incorporate monthly sales forecast by model for assigned product class.
• Maintain working relationship with manufacturing, sales planning and other disciplines to optimize efficiency and ensure smooth product flow to the customer.
• Manage phase-in and phase-out of new product introductions and transitions.
• Analyze large amounts of sales and inventory data to make proficient production decisions at the SKU level.
• Communicate across all business disciplines both verbally and written.
• Gather, compile and analyze data from various sources.
• Assist in annual planning and preparation of tools.
• Maintain production forecasting tool (MPSP) each week for a rolling 8 weeks to ensure vendor forecasts and financial CIP planning are up-to-date.
• Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.

Experience:

• 1-3 years forecasting & production planning

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc.) or equivalent years’ experience in production planning in a high paced manufacturing environment
• APICS certification a plus
