Job description

Loyola Academy seeks a full time faculty position in the Theology department for the 2024-2025 academic year.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but a re not limited to:
Teaching and leading students in accordance with Ignatian educational principles and the mission of Loyola Academy
Maintaining proper records and communication with parents and school officials
Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues on the development of an academically challenging and experientially relevant theology curriculum
Participating in the ministerial and extracurricular life of the students and the school
Modeling the “Graduate at Graduation” outcomes
Participating in departmental and school-wide professional development
Participating in the first-year mentoring and induction program
Fulfilling additional responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's Degree in Catholic Theology or related field
Prior teaching experience and a commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy
Prior experience with adolescents and an understanding of adolescent faith development
PREFERRED CREDENTIALS
Prior demonstrated commitment to Jesuit education
Master's Degree in Catholic Theology or related field
