Job description

The Liquid group in the Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead projects on nanoARPES measurements of two-dimensional materials based heterostructures and their devices. This position is supported by Department of Energy for two years with a possibility of extension. The starting date is flexible but preference is to fill this position by starting summer 2020. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be located at MAESTRO beamline at the Advanced Light Source in Berkeley, CA.

·Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics/material science or related field of experience.

· Candidate must have experience in working independently at beamline, performing ARPES measurements, and doing data analysis

·Strong publication record.

·Programming skills, and data analysis are required. 

·Ideal candidate must have experience of supporting researchers at ARPES user facilities and work in large collaborations. 

·Excellent written and verbal skills.
