Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about accounting to support our corporate accounting functions.

The position will be located at our headquarters office in Huntsville, AL, and this position is not eligible for relocation assistance. This position can be performed in-office or on a hybrid schedule option (a minimum of 3 days a week in-office). The person in this role will be responsible for driving the weekly joint venture (JV) Accounts Payable (AP) cycle, ensuring timely recording of expenses and payment to subcontractors with additional Travel expense payment, revenue/cost matching and close responsibilities. This role will require organization and timeliness to be successful.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and manage Accounts Payable (AP) email inbox directing invoices through the approval process workflow
• Review employee indirect travel and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company and JTR requirements
• Provide back up support to Trideum AP department
• Monitor AP invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors
• Perform Cost Point Import from Concur for travel and expense employee reimbursements.
• Responsible for tracking and processing JV invoices, ensure invoices are properly submitted and approvals are completed timely
• Prepare payments to JV vendors and subcontractors
• Monitor and report monthly department KPI’s to Controller and Director
• Maintain company credit card program issuing new cards and cancelling cards where required
• Monitor charges to company paid credit cards to ensure timely submission of employee expenses
• Assist in month end close activities including reconciling account balances, creating closing journal entries
• Responsible for preparing Sales and use tax reporting to various states
• Responsible for preparing annual 1099 reporting
• Assist in internal and external audits

Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting. Equivalent years of accounting-related coursework can be substituted for a degree.
• Experience working for government contracting organizations
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Concur, and ADP
  • Must have experience with two or more of the following Deltek Costpoint modules: Accounting, People, Reports and Analytics
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation codification and Joint Travel Regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook
• Ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation
