The role: As an Electronic Health Record Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of our EHR system. You will take a user centred approach to Quality Assurance & Testing. You will develop & implement testing approaches to help meet user needs. You will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, healthcare professionals, and technology experts to ensure Quality Assurance and Testing is embedded by default into the HER development and delivery approach.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: work closely with EHR specialists, tech experts and other programme team members to derive precise and detailed testing expected outcomes
- EHR Testing: Analyse EHR functionality, process flows and patient journey flows to create detailed and comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts using agreed standards and processes. Perform functional, non-functional, database, integration and regression testing as required and document test outcomes. Escalate issues to the Test Lead and workstream project managers.
- Documentation: Record test results accurately within specified project timeframes Document and record defects or problems, tracking status of defects, and verifying resolution during the testing lifecycle
- Support the different workstreams in their workflow build processes, applying knowledge and experience of a specific technical or business domain to enable the delivery of system that meets expected quality criteria
- Develop a detailed understanding of Expanse and its modules, especially around build and functionality, through the relevant training sessions as agreed by your line manager (training sessions are recorded for this purpose).
- Other duties as required for delivery of the Expanse programme, including working across the ITG Workstreams e.g., Test, Technology, Integrations & Interoperability as various activities and tasks are identified.
- Contribute to test process improvements and develop and maintain documentation relating to QA processes.
Position Requirement - Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent IT or Business education and experience
- Domain experience gained working with EHRs and supporting technical and project-related tasks
- Experience working with EHRs such as MediTech Magic, Cerner, System C
- Clear understanding of various modules and processes use within EHR platforms
- Good experience in healthcare system testing
- Proven knowledge of Quality Assurance and testing methodologies, test analysis, design and execution.
- Previous experience of integration testing
- Ability to appropriately manage task deadline such as build targets
- Analytical and data driven approach to problem solving
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
