Job Description and Duties

Do you want to support California's natural resources in the work you perform every day? If so, the Department of Fish and Wildlife's License and Revenue Branch (LRB) is looking for you! You can have an impact by working collaboratively to help fulfill the Department of Fish and Wildlife's mission.

LRB has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide outstanding customer service to the Department of Fish and Wildlife's valued stakeholders as a Program Technician II in LRB's License Sales Unit. This position performs the more difficult program specialist work as a journey level technician while providing customer service to the public, cashiering license applications, answering questions, and issuing more than 500 different license types. Training provided!

LRB does not maintain a public facing license sales counter. This position will process license and permit applications received through the mail and support a broad range of stakeholders through verbal and written communication via phone and email.

Working Conditions

State housing is not available.

Requires work to be performed in an office environment using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and barcode scanner for several hours a day.

This position requires exceptional attendance, the ability to multitask, self-motivation, attention to detail, and organization. This position uses various computer applications, such as web browsers, online search engines, and Microsoft Outlook. Enthusiasm, personal drive, initiative, and willingness to learn and accept new challenges are desired qualifications.
