The Copy Director will work closely with the Vice President of Creative to manage the creative strategy, developing and establishing seasonal campaigns for the brand, and establishing and maintaining guidelines for the brand voice. The Copy Director will lead and ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms and touch points (in-store, digital, and traditional media – including radio). This position will manage the copy team, provide leadership, vision and strategy as well as conceptual and executional excellence.

The salary range for this role is $101,000-$133,000 annually.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining a recognizable and relevant voice for the brand and ensuring it is communicated and executed across all marketing touch points.
• Own and manage the brand copy guidelines. Provide strategy, including concept development, for ongoing and seasonal marketing campaigns.
• Manage, mentor, and professionally develop the copy team.
• Ensure that copy is clear, accurate, and intelligent, accurately reflecting the Shane Co. brand.
• Create persuasive messages and compelling stories that inform, entertain, inspire, and engage while also generating brand loyalty in consumers.
• Work with channel marketing teams to tailor stories for their needs.
• Capable of streamlining and improving processes and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
• Define the ever-growing vision for the copy team – looking at every project, no matter the size/scope, as an opportunity to innovate, delight, and bring the brand to life.

• 8+ years’ experience of editorial and copywriting in luxury brand, beauty, or fashion.
• Ability to lead and perform a range of copy related initiatives including ability to formalize strategy, drive copy team’s day-to-day work, write concepts and build storyboards.
• Proven leadership experience including managing and mentoring a team.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to develop and foster superior partner relationships
• Experience presenting work in a meeting environment to top-level executives and peers
• Comfortable with working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Curious and resourceful with a natural ability to solve problems and seek new information.
• Work with a “no task too small” attitude

The primary environment for this role is a remote workspace provided by the employee. Considerable business is conducted using virtual technology and computer technology. Note that all hybrid and remote work conditions are covered in the Company’s current Remote Work Policy and Remote Work Agreement, incorporated here by reference. Travel may be required to stores, conferences or events up to 5% of the time. Travel to Home Office will be required up to 5 times a year, up to 3 days per visit.

The salary range for this role is $101,000-$133,000 annually. The range describes the minimum to maximum likely rate for this job description in the state of Colorado. Individual pay will be determined based on skills and qualifications for the role. The salary range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of Colorado.
