Job description
The Accounting Manager is a key business partner assisting the BU Controller in managing the company's financial information and processes. The Accounting Manager oversees the general accounting functions, including month-end close, corporate financial reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals prepared by the accounting team.
- Analyze financial statements and variances to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and load financial reports to the parent company consolidation software.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and projections.
- Oversee the AR and AP functions, including invoicing, billing, collections, payments, and vendor management.
- Monitor aging reports, collections activities, and credit policies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing of AR and AP transactions.
- Manages the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of six years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience at a public accounting firm is a plus.
- Management experience required.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and experience working with financial modules is desirable.
