Job description
Responsibilities
We are hiring a Software Process Engineer in Huntsville, AL who will oversees and works at a high-visibility level on ASE modeling and simulation, software, firmware, and algorithm design, development, and qualification activities. This role will be a hybrid role with the ability to support both on and offsite.
What you’ll do:
- Performs analysis, design, and/or assembly related to product design, manufacturing, software, or engineering projects.
- Defines, interprets, and develops quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with PMO, contractual, and/or customer requirements.
- Investigates and analyzes unique or technical software and customer issues providing technical assistance in establishing procedures and methods.
- Interfaces with customers, vendors, and all company departments to resolve technical and quality problems.
- Performs technical surveillance of a complex nature in the control of product, design concepts, software, and specification requirements.
- Provides leadership in the areas of producibility, manufacturing processing, equipment and process improvement, quality engineering, software quality, software configuration management, and procurement quality engineering.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- Education: Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance
- Be able to work from the customer facility on a regular basis unless customer approved to work outside the local area
- 6 years experience supporting government customers in an ingineering/software capacity.
- Have Security + certification is a plus

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
