About us

Cooper University Hospital is a 635 bed teaching hospital. We are the only tertiary care center and the first Advanced Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Southern New Jersey. We employ more than 900 physicians and 325 trainees in all medical and surgical specialties. Cooper University Hospital has its own on-campus medical school, the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. The Cooper Health System maintains multiple partnerships with local and national institutions, including the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Short Description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at CMSRU and CUH is seeking an outstanding physician with academic aspirations to serve as the newest member of our Foot & Ankle Division within the Bone & Joint Institute. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing, tertiary care medical center that not only provides regional level 1 trauma care including complex ankle and foot trauma, but is also actively expanding its elective, ambulatory presence in the area. Expansion includes a new suburban center where ankle arthroplasty and other extended stay procedures are planned.

This division member will be responsible for a busy clinical practice and have opportunity to engage in the continued growth and advancement of research, scholarly activity and teaching excellence. A completed Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle fellowship is requisite. Research infrastructure including a research coordinator and fellows are accessible to the new division member as part of a research platform within the department. A digital team is also available for partnership that is continuing to develop educational videos and virtual reality modules. Currently the division already has one Orthpaedic Foot & Ankle surgeon and five Podiatrists working together with a strategic plan for further expansion. Educational opportunities exist both within our ACGME Orthopaedic Residency Program as well as a CPME Podiatric Residency program on our campus.
