Job description
Job Title: Fiscal Manager
Location: Youngstown, OH
Hours: 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday
Pay Rate: $48,000-$53,000, plus health benefits, and annual paid time off
Job Summary:
The Fiscal Manager will operate under the general supervision of the CFO. Responsibilities include accounts processing, maintaining accurate records for the Agency, accounts receivables, and assisting with budget allocations and reviews in QuickBooks. The Fiscal Manager will meet weekly with the CFO and CEO to discuss department workflow, outstanding receivables, bank statements, cash flow, program status, and related issues. Compliance with OMB, A-110, A-122, A-133 regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and department fiscal policies and procedures is essential.
Essential Functions:
- Grants Management, Accounts Receivable, Property Maintenance
- Supervise Accounts Payable I and II
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned fiscal functions
- Make recommendations for workflow improvements
- Enter expenditures into the system for accurate financial statements
- Prepare ACH and check processing for accounts
- Assist with banking statement account reconciliation
- Reconcile payroll accrual and withholding accounts
- Assist with annual or state finance audits
- Run reports and maintain fiscal functions as needed
- Complete bank reconciliations, transfers, and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly reports for grants/projects
- Review monthly journal entries
- Distribute credit cards, gift cards, and building access keys
- Perform other duties as assigned
Property Maintenance:
- Prepare reports for Agency programs
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory for each program
- Develop travel for all programs and prepare necessary documentation
- Maintain building and equipment maintenance records
- Assist with agency insurance renewals
- Ensure compliance with vehicle fleet regulations
Responsibilities / Expectations:
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with city, state, county, and federal regulations
- Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret financial data
- Provide training, supervision, and leadership
- Attend meetings, training, or perform other assignments outside the office
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Solid accounting skills with a big-picture mentality
- Passionate about the organization's mission
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of non-profit finance work experience
- Experience/ability to learn QuickBooks for Non-Profits or a computerized accounting system
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
