Job description

Moises Bakery Hallandale in Hallandale Beach, FL, is looking for one sous chef to join our 15 people strong team. We are located at 115 E Hallandale Beach Blvd Moises Bakery. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the executive chef to achieve the kitchen goals
• Create new dishes and menus per business needs
• Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
• Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards
• Assist in providing preparations to the production team and line cooks

Qualifications

• Experience working as a sous chef or chef
• High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
• Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
• Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
• Able to operate a bakery oven, fryer, grill, and gas stove stations
• Previous experience in Venezuelan or Hispanic food preparations is a plus.
