Job description
BASIC JOB FUNCTION
Interns assist with the data capture and data linkage of biocultural and ethnobotanical herbarium specimens and objects that are currently being incorporated into the New York Botanical Garden Steere Herbarium as part of an NSF-funded project: Securing and Sharing Biocultural Diversity Collections at The New York Botanical Garden (award #2140478). These specimens document the use of plants by cultures from across the world.
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and actively helps to build and maintain an inclusive organizational culture throughout the institution.
