ASC is looking for a
PMO Director to lead high visibility, high value, strategic projects, to drive change management and execution, and to improve project communication. The PMO Director will work closely with senior leadership leading the highest priority projects; including scoping and prioritization, assigning project management resources, removing impediments/roadblocks, and providing coaching and development to the team.
Leadership of complex/strategic projects will include overseeing the integration process for new acquisitions, ensuring execution to a robust plan, optimizing operational efficiency, and capitalizing on synergistic opportunities. Our ideal candidate would be experienced inpost-mergerand acquisition activities, includingintegration/implementation, supply chain evaluation, operations management, facility expansion and/or consolidation, etc.
Job Description Continued How You Will Help: - Lead high-profile strategic projects that may include business integration, capacity expansion, footprint rationalization, product transfers, business process improvement, or efficiency/productivity improvement.
- Key driver of projects from feasibility analysis (costs, benefits, risks) to execution planning and team engagement, to periodic executive stakeholder updates and communication, to driving team execution while staying within approved capital and expense budgets.
- Assume leadership role on projects of high complexity and size. Able to work on complex tasks, lead teams, and manage multiple projects to completion.
- Identify and proactively manage potential risks and issues related to program and project delivery, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program success, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Develop and maintain project management playbook, ensuring it’s used as project management guide.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve project conflicts and issues. Identify resource constraints that negatively impact progress for resolution with senior leadership.
- Act as company champion for acquisition integration plans, including developing comprehensive integration plans for acquired companies, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements; Partnering closely with cross functional leaders to develop integration plans that encompass all milestones and supporting activities and identifying opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and enhance operational efficiency.
What You Will Have: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, life sciences, business), Master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management Certification or equivalent.
- At least seven years of successfully managing high-profile business projects.
- Minimum 3 years of recent project work experience supporting mergers acquisitions integrations and site transfers. The ideal candidate will have successfully led or project managed a merger, acquisition or company integration.
- Demonstrated background in project execution and strong knowledge and experience for any combination of EPC projects and contract types.
- Experience in operations/manufacturing/distribution.
- Strong business/financial acumen- understanding of how the business works including drivers of cost and revenue; ability to understand and work with key financial measurements to analyze the business.
- Communication skills; clear and concise written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization and teams, including effective presentations to senior leaders.
- Proficient in Microsoft 0365 and project management software tools
