Job description
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
Salary: $85k - $105k
Requirements: 3+ years of accounting experience
- Utilize our expense management system to oversee reimbursements for incurred costs.
- Oversee corporate card transactions and make sure that company policies are followed.
- Process documentation and internal file organization for the Finance Department
- Keep accurate and current financial records that are easily accessible for reporting and auditing needs.
- Collaborate with other team members on government and tax reporting (such as 1099-K and 1099-NEC reporting and federal and state tax forms)
- Oversee and plan the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, which include cash management, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable departments daily.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to support the monthly and annual close process.
- Complete accounting entries in a timely and correct manner while adhering to all internal and financial regulations.
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience within FinTech is a plus!
- Working knowledge with either QuickBooks or NetSuite is preferred
