Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The Sr. Quality Management Specialist supports the Distribution Operations teams with process improvements and development of performance metrics. The role is responsible for implementing project management guidelines, processes, protocols and creating effective methods of communication to ensure executive management visibility to departmental initiatives. Engage and assist internal Distribution Operations teams integrate with Quality Management principles, scorecard metrics and ISO certification. The position will develop project plans, track and report progress for operations performance metrics for the digital supply chain supporting in-home and direct-to-consumer content distribution.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute and provide summaries of projects, milestones and meeting notes.
Coordinate team meetings for collaboration to improve and create process quality metrics, security metrics, and project reporting.
Develop key relationships with 3rd party vendors, to engage with quality management and technical on-boarding topics in regular meetings.
Perform technical audits for the Partner Assessment Program, working with strategic third-party vendors that perform media services for Disney. Includes scheduling, coordination, education, running audit meetings, assessing risks, reporting results, and tracking remediation items.
Conduct vendor technical onboarding coordination for new vendors, guide vendors to successful production, develop and execute readiness tests, field questions, troubleshoot issues, propose improvements, and coordinate technical documentation between fulfillment partners, Disney and third-party vendors.
Developing management processes, tools, development approaches, components and practices to help achieve program objectives.
Ensure robust program management, including risk management, operational compliance, and timely issue resolution and escalation.
Analyze and trend metrics to identify corrective actions needed to for process improvement.
Ensure adherence to ISO Standards 9001 and 27001.
Support technical process improvements and issue resolution through the use of data analytics reporting and task assignment tracking.
Maintain strong working relationships with the team and related business units
Provide reports and presentations to management and business partners.
Any other duties needed to help achieve business objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant subject or the equivalent in a working environment.
7+ years of related work experience.
5+ years of experience in digital media distribution, asset management, or post-production.
Strong communications skills and ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
Understanding of localization workflows.
Understanding of video, audio, timed text, image formats and workflows.
Understanding of artwork and descriptive metadata workflows.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with frequently changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior quality management experience in digital media distribution preferred.
Experience with Six Sigma, Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.
Experience with Confluence/Jira, Excel, SmartSheet, Google Suite, DOMO and/or other digital collaboration tools.
Project management certification preferred.
