Job description

The Remote Nurse Case Manager (NCM) holds a pivotal role within our Nursing Department, contributing significantly to commitment to delivering exceptional service, care, and expertise. Responsible for telephonic medical case management for both work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, the NCM plays a crucial part in providing first aid recommendations to injured employees. This role involves meticulous record-keeping of injuries and communications in database, ensuring transparent and effective communication with our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and document telephonic medical case management in adherence to Best Practice Guidelines and Nursing Directives.
Uphold dedication to excellent client service by delivering the highest quality of care and expertise.
Educate injured workers, safety representatives, and supervisors on approach to case management, as needed.
Transfer cases to the Outcome Team following procedures.
Adhere to current OSHA Guidelines and Case Management Procedures.
Comply with state-specific Worker's Compensation Guidelines.
Actively participate in departmental meetings and in-services.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess an active RN or BSN license in good standing, with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in ER, acute injury, triage management, or related fields. Previous experience in nurse case management or telephonic case management is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision due to computer work.
Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Ability to manage the stress of remote work and occasional travel.
Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
*This position is 100% remote, allowing for a flexible and supportive work-from-home environment.
