The Data Protection Officer (DPO) shall assist the company (the “Company”) to meet its obligations under the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection laws. The DPO will monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under the GDPR and data protection laws. The DPO will be responsible for staff training, data protection impact assessments and internal audits. The DPO will also serve as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organisation.

In this role, the DPO shall work closely with the Legal, Compliance and Information Security functions to develop and monitor policies and standards applicable to the business and in compliance with data protection laws. Duties will include:

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between 129,900$ USD to 219,250$ USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
