Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented COMSEC Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in NIST Special Publications, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), and NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16. As a COMSEC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information through the implementation and management of cryptographic security measures.

Responsibilities:

• Cryptographic Key Management:
• Generate, distribute, and manage cryptographic keys in accordance with NIST Special Publications and FIPS standards.
• Monitor key lifecycle and update cryptographic devices as required.
• Policy Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 and other relevant security policies.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address any compliance gaps.
• Risk Assessment:
• Conduct risk assessments related to communication security and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities, adjusting security measures accordingly.
• Secure Communication Systems:
• Implement and maintain secure communication systems, including encryption devices and protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate cryptographic measures into existing systems.
• Training and Awareness:
• Provide training to staff on COMSEC policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance within the organization.
