Position Summary/Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the North Carolina Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time (50%) Clinical Assistant Professor, Pediatric Endocrinologist to support the Division's clinical activities. North Carolina Children's Hospital is a top-tier academic medical center, with a mission to align clinical care, advocacy, research, and education to deliver world-class family-centered care. The Hospital is ranked among the best children's hospitals by US News and World Report, and the Division is accredited by the American Diabetes Association.

The faculty member will report directly to the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and will join a well-established team of medical professionals, including board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist, pediatric endocrinology fellows and pediatric residents, Certified Diabetes Educators, nutritionists, and nurses who work together to provide the best care to the patients of UNC Children's Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes services. 

Clinical duties will include inpatient and outpatient care of children with diabetes and other endocrine disorders. Outpatient clinical activities will occur at the UNC Children's Specialty clinics located in Chapel Hill, NC and Raleigh, NC.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
