Job description

The Wastewater Preventative Maintenance position involves duties associated with the repair, inspection and maintenance of buildings and process equipment at the wastewater treatment plant.

Essential Job Functions:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED. A valid Ohio Driver's license with a safe driving record and a drug screening are required. Familiarity with basic maintenance and operational tasks involving manual labor, preventative care, general repairs, maintaining records, and utilizing tools and equipment to make and/or modify parts or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidates for this position should possess experience in routine plant equipment maintenance, equipment lubrication schedules, asset management in a factory/industrial setting, and techniques to proactively avoid unplanned equipment downtime. Familiarity with wastewater treatment is preferable. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to have effective working relationships with fellow coworkers, public officials, the general public, contractors, consultants and customers is preferred. This position may require overtime, shift, weekend and holiday work, as well as flexible hours and rotating days.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $20.50 - $27.71 per hour
