Job description
Are you a seasoned leader with a knack for driving efficiency and maintaining a harmonious work environment Were seeking a dedicated Fabrication Manager to join our clients team. In this role youll be the key person in the Fabrication department overseeing work procedures schedules and workflow to ensure precision and adherence to policies. Reporting to the VP of Operations youll be instrumental in coordinating functions such as production inventory management and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and optimize work procedures within the Fabrication department
- Issue clear instructions and assign duties ensuring compliance with policies
- Standardize procedures to enhance worker efficiency
- Resolve grievances and maintain positive employee relations
- Collaborate with other managers for seamless coordination across departments
- Manage Lean Manufacturing techniques quality cost reduction and more
- Plan schedule and coordinate activities to fulfill sales orders and meet delivery dates
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Oversee maintenance needs and ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects
- Identify employees skills providing coaching and counseling for development
- Conduct annual performance reviews and weekly safety meetings
- Monitor and ensure the quality of work in line with the companys Quality Plan
- Budget management for the department including putting together and monitoring results
Requirements
- BS in Manufacturing or related field OR a minimum of 10 years of general management experience in a serial fabrication environment
- Indepth knowledge of manufacturing methods techniques and related equipment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment
- Exceptional leadership and problemsolving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven track record in implementing process improvements
- Dedication to safety and quality standards
