Job Summary The NCAA Eligibility Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Assistant
Registrar NCAA Certification and Eligibility to manage the NCAA student-athlete certification
process for ETSU under federal, state, university, and NCAA requirements. The NCAA Eligibility Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting with incoming transfer student-athletes, major changes, monitoring daily reports, and keeping accurate and up-to-date records on all student-athletes. The: NCAA Eligibility Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Registrar in providing accurate data to Athletic Compliance for APR , GSR , and academic eligibility reporting. The NCAA Eligibility Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the Records office with transcript processing, major changes, phone calls, ARGOS reports, and monitoring the

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of computerized information and database systems.
- Knowledge of personal computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe).
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, university policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, university degree requirements.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn ETSU programs, Banner, ARGOS , and Degree Works.
- Ability to review academic credentials according to NCAA bylaws and regulations to determine if certification requirements have been met by student-athletes.
- Ability to properly calculate by hand a student's GPA .
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple and complex projects.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures and apply sound judgment in making decisions
- Ability to accurately complete detailed work.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work under pressure.
- Ability to assess individual student-athletes' academic needs relative to NCAA progress toward degree requirements.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to learn office-and university-specific software, including ARGOS , Banner, and NCAA
- applications.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex work environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Required Qualifications - A highschool diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant work experience
OR - An equivalent combination of education and experience. Will accept student-worker and internship experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with NCAA athletic compliance.
- Experience in a registrar's office.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in higher education.
