We are looking for a Analyst, Data Science and Analytics to join Element Fleet Management. The Analyst of Data Science and Analytics will play a tactical role in supporting Element’s growing commercial pipeline and revenue. This includes sales, account management, marketing, pricing, products, and implementation to ensure we meet our commercial sales goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about collaborating with peers and cross-functional partners to deliver analytical insight in the form of dashboards, statistical analytics, and data modeling to key stakeholders throughout the business. The candidate must work with a lens toward best-practice data structure and development, data discipline, and governance. Specifically, the candidate understands the importance of data and insights. The ability to develop metrics, apply attribution, spot trends, and draw statistically valid conclusions is a primary job responsibility. Moreover, the ability to recommend operating discipline improvements in support of top-line revenue growth and increasing market share by delivering data-driven business insights is critical. Applicants should be familiar with complex data sources generated in a CRM (SFDC), pricing system, LMS, content management, and other platforms representing a variety of data types. This position is a mission-critical enabler for the execution of the go-to-market strategy. This role is in office T,W,TH weekly in our Hopkins MN or Mississauga ON office.
A Day in the Life
Support the Sr. Analyst and Manager, CRM and Analytics, and Director, CE to execute business priorities, including:
Gather, transform, clean/structure/wrangle/fuse existing data, and design data structures for Power BI.
Execute small to large projects that inform both day-to-day tactical decisions and long-term strategic decisions.
Work with the CRM team to ensure data uniformity of the continued operation of one and/or two-way data feeds.
Inform and/or own BI solution design and lead the technical development of data acquisition projects, both batch and real-time.
Assess go-to-market segments (GtM) segments to optimize and balance revenue target distribution across sales teams.
Support the Sr. Analyst and Manager, CRM and Analytics, and Director, CE to execute analytical priorities, including:
Design and build commercial data visualization, analytics, and reporting, perform ongoing analytics, and create visuals that tell a proactive, compelling, accurate data story.
Supporting: Long-term analytics strategic roadmap (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, AI) and streamlined reporting roadmap: eliminate, minimize, automate, and create capabilities as needed, and comprehensive commercial dashboards: to maximize visibility and ensure accountability.
Conduct analytics designed to drive actionable insights for the sales and account management teams.
Support reporting that goes to the Executive team and other stakeholders.
Partner with MX and ANZ to evaluate needs and share best practices to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Requirements
Degree in Statistics/Computer Science/Software Engineering/ or Math
2-3 Years’ experience with statistical and other analytical tools such as R, Python, and Power BI
Experience with Salesforce data a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
Experience operating in globally distributed and multi-disciplined teams environment and enterprise applications
Project Management/Six Sigma/Agile or other methodologies a plus
Industry experience, B2B, and Business Services; experience working with PE and/ or PE relationships is a plus.
Strong financial acumen, understanding of P&L and cost drivers; is a plus.
Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment, think on your feet, and respond with confidence and creativity.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a mindset of insight combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with Commercial Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Global and key partners including EXE, Commercial Leadership, FP&A, HR, Operations, and Corporate Marketing.
Broad experience across the sales and analytics tech stack including Salesforce.com, statistical software, and Power BI.
