POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Global Digital Program Manager covers the management and execution of the organization's key digital initiatives. This position is tasked with leading the delivery of digital programs and products, utilizing expert skills in scrum management, cross-country collaboration, and project prioritization. The role involves close cooperation with various digital departments, including IoT, Auditing, Commerce, Transformation, Content, Marketing, Analytics & Data, to ensure projects are aligned with Solenis's strategic objectives and digital innovation goals. The Global Digital Program Manager is responsible for navigating the complexities of digital program delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, thereby reinforcing Solenis's position as a leader in digital excellence. This role is located in within the Solenis Digital PMO Office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Oversight:
- Lead selected digital project portfolios in collaboration with Business Owners/Vertical Leaders.
- Develop and manage efficient program structures and workflows in alignment with Program Goals.
- Assure delivery of program artifacts like Scope, Org Chart, Communication Flows, and Timelines.
- Managing customer relationship and scope management
- Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and assign specific program roles within the project team to ensure clarity and accountability.
- Establish a RACI matrix to clarify decision-making authorities and streamline communication.
- Implement efficient communication to Steering Committee, Project Sponsor, and Operational Teams.
- Internal Communication:
- Establish efficient communication channels within the Digital team for optimal internal collaboration.
- Regularly update teams to maintain alignment on progress and milestones, celebrate success
- Facilitate effective information flow and task management between vertical and horizontal teams.
- Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Streamline communication with external stakeholders from select segments, functions, and regions.
- Enhance engagement with clear, consistent communication to maintain stakeholder involvement.
- Translate stakeholder input into actionable program activities to ensure project relevance and success.
- Developing and mentoring project managers and PMO for exceptional performance from team members to improve performance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure success.
- Proactively address challenges and implement corrective actions based on thorough risk assessments.
- Maintain open communication with Program Sponsors for ongoing risk awareness and support.
- Timeline Management:
- Oversee project timelines closely to ensure progress in line with planned schedules and deadlines.
- Monitor and communicate progress regarding key milestones and deadlines.
- Proactively align with other Program Owners in terms of Program dependencies and horizontal Resource allocation to avoid delays and bottlenecks.
- Financial Oversight:
- Provide transparent financial reporting to Business Owners/Vertical Leaders and Project Sponsors.
- Manage program budgets diligently and implement cost-control to optimize financial resources.
- Ensure financial summaries and budget forecasts to reflect fiscal responsibility and strategic planning.
- Adhering to project cash flow schedule.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Cooperate with Procurement on vendor selection and onboarding incl. SoWs and NDAs.
- Align vendor contributions with project specifications and quality expectations.
- Manage external resource allocation effectively to ensure project needs are met efficiently.
- Methodologies & Standardization:
- Work with fellow Program Managers to standardize project management practices across all digital programs to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Promote and implement agile and Scrum methods for overall project efficiency and adaptability.
- Conduct Digital team alignment sessions to ensure team communication and proficiency in program management practices.
- Ensuring governance ties in with scope/change management and delivery/customer satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance & Policies:
- Promote ongoing improvement and learning, regularly review projects, run retrospectives, and lessons learned sessions to ensure process improvements.
- Develop and continuously refine project delivery processes to ensure effective project delivery.
- Ensure the availability of necessary tools and technologies for smooth project execution and delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15+ years of extensive experience in Digital program and project management within a digital or IT environment, preferably in a global or multi-market context
- Certification in project management or Agile processes will be an added advantage.
- Must have knowledge of different efforts estimation techniques in Agile working environment.
- Proficiency in agile and Scrum methodologies, with a track record of applying these in complex project environments.
- Familiarity with setting up or contributing to a Digital Center of Excellence and driving digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong skills in utilizing project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a decentralized, matrixed organization.
- Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
