Visiting Project Coordinator - Kinesiology and Community Health Kinesiology and Community Health We are unable to sponsor an employment VISA or take over sponsorship for an employment VISA for this position now and/or in the future. The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health (KCH) seeks a full-time (12-month) Visiting Project Coordinator to support a federally funded research Center: Technologies to Support Aging with Disability. This position will support the Center through performance and coordination of research, development, training, and outreach activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Support Center research activities (e.g., engage with research collaborators at other sites, ensure research compliance, document research activities)
Assist with preparation of annual and quarterly reports to the government sponsor
Plan research budgets and research timelines for the various projects in conjunction with the Project Director
Planning and executing Center-wide research meetings (e.g., space reservations, travel arrangements, program development, accessibility accommodations)
Recruit study participants and manage research participant registry
Assist with preparation and maintenance of IRB protocols
Coordinate research dissemination activities (e.g., website support, marketing materials, tracking publications and presentations) in conjunction with the Project Director
Supervise and train research assistants working on the project
Other general tasks, as assigned, to support the Center's research efforts
Qualifications Required: B.S. in Community Health, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Sciences, Psychology, or related field
Minimum of 18 months experience with research and/or lab management in a health related field
Experience supervising undergraduate students
Lab-related financial management experience
Preferred: M.S. in Community Health, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Science, Psychology or related field
CITI Certification, HIPAA Certification
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of research methods required
Knowledge of MS Office software required
Knowledge of older adults and people living with disabilities required
Appointment Information This position is a 100% full-time Visiting Academic Professional position. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position of limited duration. As this position is grant funded, it is subject to the continued availability of funding and programmatic need. The expected duration is four and a half (4.5) years. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The salary for this position is $50,000.
