BRAND MARKETING DIRECTOR – Dental Manufacturer
This role is HYBRID – onsite 3x week in Marlborough, Mass. (no relo)

ROLE
The Brand Marketing Director will drive brand-specific initiatives for the flagship brand as a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, and will have additional responsibilities for company-wide programs.
- Brand Leadership – for all company brands
- Functional leadership – of brand and company media plan
- Program Leadership – of the company’s key Subscription Service/Purchase Continuity Program
Potential for direct report, depending upon candidate experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand
- Owner of brand positioning, core communications platform, competitor and customer insights, growth strategies, market education, advertising and promotion plans
- Lead ideation and creation of marketing plans, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, Sales leaders, ad agency, and marketing program leaders
Function
- Company Media Plan: lead development and implementation of company media plan in collaboration with Brand leaders and ad agency, for print and digital across all channels: dental trade journals, dealer/distributor channels, Internet display, and SEM. Track performance of digital channels and recommend changes on a quarterly basis or as needed.
Program
- Subscription Service/Purchase Continuity Program: This role will lead a cross-functional team in developing and executing marketing programs designed to generate repurchase of the company’s consumable replenishment products across the brand portfolio, leveraging a database of over 70,000 customers. Responsibilities include optimizing the customer experience through design improvements to customer online portal, creation of new marketing incentives and programs, and developing metrics and dashboards for tracking and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Problem-solver with ability to work in a recently merged organization still undergoing process development
- Strategic thinking, issue framing and analytical problem-solving skills
- Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills, to perform effectively within a small, marketing team with a matrix structure that includes overlapping accountabilities
- Strong capabilities in analysis of data and development of performance metrics and KPIs; ability to organize data in a way that optimizes decision making
- Ability to manage multiple projects, with accountability to peers, in a fast paced environment
- Ability to influence without authority, listen well, and flex to different styles and personalities
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, are essential
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years experience in marketing roles, including brand marketing
- 2+ years in roles involving advertising/media development and planning
- Dental or medical device experience required
