job summary:
A Physical And Electronic Security Specialist is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company. Remote work. This job entails leading Physical and Electronic Security consulting, planning, and design services primarily for power utilities, involving risk analysis, policy development, design leadership, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, along with a focus on career development and adherence to industry standards.

responsibilities:
- Transferring knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others' knowledge and skill levels.
- Contributing to the career development of others through engagement assignments.
- Delegating work duties according to development opportunities and individual needs.
- Facilitating client workshops to foster technical understanding and drive decisions.
- Leading physical and electronic security assessments and gap analysis against best practices and standards.
- Recommending physical and electronic security improvements aligned with risk management frameworks.
- Developing security policies, procedures, and controls for power utilities.
- Collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze and validate the information needs and functional requirements.
- Serving as a subject matter expert.
- Leading physical and electronic security system design.
- Developing and reviewing design documents including drawings and specifications.
- Managing deliverables quality and budget.
- Familiarity with understanding and interpreting building-design blueprints to determine the consistency of contractual security requirements.
- Following engineering and customer standards for design documentation.
- Providing technical leadership for site-survey, deployment, installation, configuration, and support engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or similar certifications.
- Working knowledge of physical and electronic security standards and others as required by our clients.
- Experience performing facility walk downs in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in critical infrastructure sectors (Water, Power, Federal/DoD, Oil & Gas, Chemical, etc.).
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or another related field.
- Professional Engineering license in electrical, control systems, or related field or ability to obtain PE Licensure within six months.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Bluebeam for project documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a technical field relatable to Physical and Electronic Security.
- Minimum of 10 years of Experience in Physical and Electronic Security.
- Experience in physical security design of cameras, access control systems, threat detection, and motion detectors in various facility applications.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or sciences preferred or any other degree, specialized training, or experience that makes the individual uniquely qualified to perform the job responsibilities.
