As an Internal Audit Intern you will be responsible for temporarily assisting the Internal Audit department. This position will perform low-risk audit testing procedures for assigned engagements, and contributes to the Internal Audit department meeting its goals and objectives under the supervision of senior staff while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

A few essential functions & responsibilities: 

• Complete Auditor field work including; gathering, researching and verifying audit evidence and information. Perform basic audit procedures such as selecting samples, reviewing transactions, interviewing subjects and performing analytical procedures with appropriate supervision from senior staff.
• Provide assistance as needed for the Supervisory Committee. Also assist with departmental needs such as audit tracking, follow-up, external audit assistance and special investigations. Provide administrative support for the department such as scanning, organizing files and performing quality control reviews
• Obtain a working knowledge of DuTrac policies and procedures, internal audit industry standards, audit theory and best practices during internship.

Position requirements:  Ideally a senior level student in either a two or four year program.  Strong communication skills, accuracy and confidentiality important.  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
