Job description
We are currently assisting our esteemed government client in their search for an experienced Microsoft Azure DevOps Trainer / .NET Lead Developer to join their dynamic team. This is a remote role with the potential for a 12+ month renewable contract, based in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities:
As a Microsoft Azure DevOps Trainer / .NET Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering comprehensive Gitlab / DevOps training programs while actively contributing to the development and maintenance of Gitlab tools, pipelines, and infrastructure. Additionally, you will be instrumental in converting existing ASP.NET WebForm, MVC, Core applications into high-available systems in Azure GCC cloud, all while fostering an Agile methodology within the development teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Training:
Develop and deliver Gitlab / Agile training programs for internal audiences.
Create and maintain training materials, including presentations, handouts, and exercises.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide constructive feedback.
Development:
Develop and maintain Gitlab tools, Gitlab Pipelines, and infrastructure.
Deploy, migrate, and maintain IIS to Azure Cloud, App Service, SQL Database, Key Vault.
Troubleshoot and resolve Gitlab / DevOps issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Gitlab / DevOps.
5+ years of experience in Microsoft .NET Development (ASP.NET, MVC, WebApi, IIS).
Proven experience developing and delivering training materials.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience with Azure cloud.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI / CD) pipelines.
Required / Desired Skills:
Strong technical writing skills and documentation experience.
Experience with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies.
Experience with multiple computer languages, such as C#, T-SQL, PL / SQL, Shell Script, PowerShell, and YAML.
