Internship Summary
Molly and Me Counseling and Training Center internships provide invaluable training for student interns who are looking for experience and on the job training working in the field of play therapy with children and families. Our interns are working in a two on one work setting with a licensed therapist, receiving invivo, experiential learning. Interns will be working with children and families, and in some cases, adults to provide specialized mental health services as well as behavioral health care to our clientele. As a team, we have a highly dedicated group of professionals, offering a vast array of experience and counseling style from which to learn.
In addition, Molly and Me offers interns:
- Comprehensive, ongoing, training regarding the agency’s therapeutic orientations, policies and procedures.
- Weekly supervision with a State-approved, licensed clinical supervisor.
- The opportunity to provide important behavioral and mental health services to include both children and families to provide a family centered approach.
- Play Therapy Training from Registered Play Therapist-Supervisors at Molly and Me Training Center, which is an approved training provider (08-222) with the Association for Play Therapy.
- Opportunity to train under and facilitate/develop group therapy for children with a Licensed and Certified AutPlay Therapist at Molly and Me.
- Weekly consultation groups with opportunity to present case conceptualization and treatment strategies with skilled, licensed therapists.
- Support and ongoing learning from a talented and diversified group of experienced therapists.
- Opportunity to provide therapeutic services to children and teens in the school setting.
- Experience facilitating training for families and/or other professionals with experienced and talented trainers on staff with Molly and Me Training Center.
