Job Description and Duties

This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under supervision of the Statewide Travel Manager (SSM I), this position is responsible for performing the full range of a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties of average difficulty for the Statewide Travel Program (STP) consisting of developing and implementing an emergency response program, performing travel audits, executing training and consultative services, and general program support. This position requires the incumbent to adhere to applicable information security and privacy laws, policies, and standards; and agrees to comply with the requirements when accessing and handling confidential and sensitive state information assets.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.

• Experience using and editing databases in a work environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information and express ideas in a clear, confident, and convincing manner.

• Experience analyzing and interpreting policy regulations.
