Associate Product Manager The Associate Product Manager works closely with the Product Management team to deliver innovative products that differentiate Kreg from competitors. This individual is highly skilled in execution and actively contributes to roadmap preparation, product design based on customer feedback, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitoring performance. They collaborate with New Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and continuous enhancements. The Associate Product Manager plays a hands-on role in driving the organization's success.
So, What’s the Gig? - Collaborate with Product Managers to define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned product lines.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and customer needs.
- Leverage market research, surveys, and customer/prospect visits to understand and specify business requirements for product introductions and enhancements.
- Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards objectives.
- Analyze competitor products to improve our competitive positioning and drive product innovation.
- Create compelling business cases and ROI analyses to secure sponsorship across departments.
- Create a comprehensive plan to drive profitability and foster growth for each product line, supported by strategies and KPIs.
- Provide training to Kreg employees on products within their respective product lines, emphasizing their competitive advantages.
- Forecast unit sales of their product lines for operational planning.
- Evaluate the performance of both new and existing items to assess their effectiveness.
- With guidance and support from the Product Manager, oversee the complete product lifecycle, including concept development, introduction, growth, maturity, and eventual decline.
- Coordinate with various teams, such as marketing, sales, and customer support, to align product strategies and ensure effective communication.
What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 years of experience in a business-related field with a preference for marketing, sales, engineering or financial analysis or consumer product or durable goods.
- Experience in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and gathering customer insights.
- Experience translating market driven needs into technical product development requirements.
- Experience with product management tools is desirable.
- Experienced in presenting data and research to inform best decisions and both short- and long-term strategies.
