Description:
The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be responsible for supporting the instrumentation and controls engineering project requirements involving control valves, automated valves, control panel design, device specifications, control systems, components, ladder logic programming, SCADA programming and their applications. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer and Control Engineer must also demonstrate the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams producing reports, studies and presentations that are pivotal in shaping management’s decisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Possess and maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and standards related to instrumentation, controls, and automation systems.
- Overall success and coordination of the electrical, instrumentation, and controls scope on technical projects
- Review and Development of control system guiding documentation including P&ID’s, control philosophy, cause and effect diagrams, process design basis.
- Development and specification of control system architecture layout and components.
- Development of control panel layout and fabrication drawings in coordination with team designers and electrical engineers.
- Support for all electrical deliverables, development on instrument lists, I/O lists, loop and wiring diagrams, incorporating all information from vendor documents, physical layout design, circuit/conduit schedules, support equipment specification, support RFQ packages, develop MTO’s, contractor scope of work
- Support Construction and Commissioning needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college.
